Book Review- Fighting For What's His (Warrior Fight Club #2) by Laura Kaye

This fight club has one rule: you must be a veteran…

Resisting her only makes him want her more...

Private investigator Billy Parrish is good at three things—fighting, investigating, and sex. MMA training with the other vets in the Warrior Fight Club keeps his war-borne demons at bay—mostly, and one night stands ensure no one gets too close. But then his best friend from the Army Rangers calls in a favor.

Shayna Curtis is new to town, fresh out of grad school, and full of hope for the future. With a new job starting in a month, she’s grateful when her brother arranges a place for her to stay while she apartment hunts. But she never expected her roommate to be so brooding. Or so sexy.

Billy can’t wait for Shay to leave—because the longer she’s there, the more he wants her in his bed. To stay. He can’t have her—that much he knows. But when fight club stops taking off the edge, Billy lets down his guard…and starts fighting for what’s his.

My Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Shayna Curtis and Billy Parrish find themselves as new roommates. Billy and Shayna's brother are best friends, so he is helping her out while she gets her feet on the ground. Shayna has just moved to DC for a fresh start, and a new job. Her passion is Photography, when she has a camera in hand is when she feels the most steady. Shayna came to DC to escape the pain and guilt that has carried with her last few years. And being surrounded by Billy offers Shayna a comfort she didn't know she was looking for.

Shayna has always crushed on Billy, and now living with him, she finds those old feelings resurfacing. Shayna cant help but notice Billy's strong shoulders, smirky smiles and charming attitude. The friendship they are forming is very important to her, and doesn't know if its worth risking, for more.

Billy Parish finds himself with a new roommate, his best friends little sister. Shayna Curtis has grown into a beautiful, quirky and strong woman. And now she's in his home, with her sassy mouth and infectious smiles. Billy is still trying to heal after his time in the Military, consumed by his scars and his guilt. But he can't deny he is attracted to Shayna or finding himself wanting to spend all his free time with her. Billy fears he has nothing to offer her, but a broken man. Shayna pushes his buttons and makes him want more in his life.

Two souls full of guilt, heal one another.
Through words, touch and love.

Shayna and Billy's story is sexy, funny and heart warming. Their chemistry is crazy sexy, and it lots of fun to read about their growing attraction and friendship. Billy was charming and wounded, super protective and oh so yummy to read about. And Shayna, so sweet and funny, and her made up cuss words had me cracking up.

I loved getting glimpses of the other friends in the Warrior Fight Club and it makes me excited for more.
