Football hero Jax Monaghan hadn’t had it easy in life. Despite his thriving football career he always destroyed everything beautiful he’s ever had. That was until he met his wife, Alivia, who had taught him what love and family was all about. But when he watches his wife fall apart due to his decisions, he’s reminded just what he is capable of – and he makes what he thinks is the ultimate sacrifice. Walking away.
When Jax returns home in order to be closer to his children, he can’t help but want to be closer with Alivia again as well. But the brutal reality of his choices keep knocking him back to the starting line. As the past threatens them further apart, Jax and Alivia are forced to line up together and play for the same team. Had their entire marriage been a trick play? Or was it simply just a false start into their happily ever after?
~My Review~
5 Stars
Alivia owner of "Save The Date", moved to South Carolina to follow her dream of running her own event planning business. And with a big Charity event she has worked hard on, she's hoping it will help get her name out there more. When taking on this event, she never would have guessed she was planning it for the quarterback of the Carolina Maverick's. Sexy, charming, Jax was not who Alivia was expecting. And she couldn't be happier to get to know this man.
Jax Monaghan star quarterback of the Mavericks is set on playing the game he loves, working to further his career and have no distractions, like dating, after a bad break up months ago. But what he never planed on was meeting the beautiful, sassy, Alivia. With one look at her, he knows she different, something special, and despite his plans of sticking just to work, Jax can't deny the connection he feels with this women.
Set in the south, full of football, friends, and love, we are given a beautiful, gripping tale of husband, wife and all the ups, downs and the in betweens that is marriage. And I fell in love with every bit of this story.
Liv a mother, a wife, a business women, and a million other things, she's superwomen. Despite struggles, of being overloaded at times, Liv stays a loving and caring person. Putting her family and friends first, going above and beyond to make sure they are loved and happy. All while facing the facts that her marriage may not exist anymore. You'll feel every emotion this character shows. Her stubbornness, the love for her daughters and husband, the connections with each one of her friends, and her passion for her work. Liv is a strong female lead, that I'm sure many, like me, will love dearly.
Jax Monaghan, this man, this tall, sexy, alpha male, football playing man. At first I felt a bit frustrated with why he left, how could he do that. But once you get deeper, and see why he did what he did, what he thought best, you can't help but want to hug and love this man. This slightly broken man, who would do anything in the world for Liv. He is a true book boyfriend, I know many will fall for this man, like I did. His love for Liv and their daughters, his love for his friends and his team, is something that needs to be read.
I just love everything about this story. From Jax & Liv, to their daughters and all of their friends. It's a story full of love and pain. The author shows us that marriage while amazing, is not always perfect. It's a story full of family, friends, passion and forgiveness.
Julianna Marley is a author that I will be following for a long time, one who's work I will be impatiently waiting to read, and one who I will recommenced to everyone.

About the Author:
Julianna Marley is fairly certain that she was born on the wrong side of the Mason-Dixon line. She’s in constant search of warmth, sunshine and water. When not writing about all the places she yearns to be, she can be found enjoying obnoxious amounts of coffee and getting bossed around by a four year-old. Julianna loves romance, humor and football.
