My favourite colour was wine red, captured in a glass and held over rich, warm candlelight.
I loved poppies best of all flowers because they reminded me of me in a way that was narcissistic but true. They were bold as blood, stark against the softer colours of the traditional Italian countryside. They demanded notice and received it. But their beauty was short-lived and fragile as the thin silk of their petals. They fell to bits within a week and scattered on the wind.
I felt very much like one of those black centered blooms, falling apart with every breath I took without even one witness to my dematerialization.
He wanted me like this.

I didn’t have to hear his British accented voice clipping the words into neat little explanations to understand why.

Enthralled, a dark, twisted, emotional and beautiful book. Giana Darling twines poetic words with complex characters and descriptive settings. A story so captivating you’ll be holding your breath, not prepared for what’s waiting at every chapter.
Raw, brutal and sexy, Enthralled was a book I could not get enough of. This story tears you to shreds, leaves you confused on how you should feel and leaves you wanting more. From the sexy, charming, cruel Master Alexander. And the many sides to this mysterious man. Dangerous with moments of tenderness. And the lovely Cosima, her strength, beauty and fight. Her will to not break, understanding her confusion and feelings. Getting inside her head, experiencing all she the emotions she does.
These two characters will break your heart, make you feel their every emotion and have you flipping the pages so fast, to get just another moment of them, together.
Giana Darling is s talented writer, who surprises me more and more each book. I’ll be here impatiently waiting for even more from Alexander and Cosima.
