Sophie Moore finds herself working with her brothers best friend, Jase Hale. The guy she crushed on forever, growing up. But who broke her heart. Over the years it was easier for them to hate each other, than let go of the past. But now they are around each other all day at the office and all those old feelings for each other are starting to surface again. Sneaking around, hiding their office affair, and hiding their feelings from each other and their friends can only last so long. Before they need more or before it ends in heartbreak all over again.
I was really excited for Jase and Sophie's story. But I just couldn’t get that invested in the their book. I felt their connection wasn’t genuine and I found it hard to enjoy them as a couple. I wanted more from them I guess. I just didn’t feel they cared for each other, it was all either hating each other or hooking up. I wanted more depth and romance. I did enjoy the authors writing, it’s quick paced and she has created a great group of friends that I really enjoy reading about.
