“Sexy, heartfelt--did I mention sexy? With the perfect touch of the forbidden, Melanie Harlow has outdone herself with single dad Mack and Frannie’s story!”
-- Ilsa Madden-Mills, Wall Street Journal bestselling author
Irresistible, an all-new fun and swoony standalone from USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow, is available now!

I’m a full-time single dad to three daughters and CFO at Cloverleigh Farms. I don’t have time to fall in love—I’m too busy trying to run a business, keep the red socks out of the white laundry, and get the damn pillowcases on without owing a dollar to the swear jar.
Sure, Frannie Sawyer is beautiful and sweet, but she’s twenty-seven, the boss’s daughter, and my new part-time nanny—which means she’s completely off-limits. It’s bad enough I can’t stop fantasizing about her, what kind of jerk would I be if I acted on the impulse to kiss her?
(Exactly the kind of jerk you’re thinking.)
Actually, I’m worse than that—because I didn’t stop with a kiss, and now I can’t stay away. She makes me feel like myself again. She reminds me what it’s like to want something just for me. She’s everything I ever needed, but nothing I ever imagined.
I’m a former Marine. I should have had the strength to resist her from the start.
But I didn’t. And now I have to choose between the life I want and the life she deserves.
Even if it means giving her up.

Excerpt:
I was holding my breath.
I wasn’t even sure why, but it was something about the way Mack was looking at me. And the tension in his body—the taut muscles in his neck. The grip of his fingers on the edge of the counter. The set of his jaw. It gave the impression of restraint. Like he was holding himself back.
Something unfamiliar hummed in the air between us. I could feel it—he wanted me the way I wanted him.
No wonder I couldn’t breathe.
Then he cleared his throat and turned away from me, cutting off the current. “Sure. Everybody needs to make mistakes now and then.”
I’d forgotten I’d even asked the question.
He turned the sink on, rinsed his dishes, and placed them in the dishwasher. I stood there staring at his muscular back, at the width of his shoulders, at the snug fit of his jeans on his butt. If I were his and he were mine, I’d go over and wrap my arms around his waist, press my cheek to his back. Then he’d turn around, winding his arms around me. He’d lower his lips to mine, and—
“I should get you home,” he said, interrupting my fantasy. “Want to grab your coat?”
“Sure.” But I didn’t really want to leave. I wanted to stay in this warm, chaotic house with him and the girls. Pretend I belonged here. Pretend I belonged to him.

Frannie Sawyer is ready to start living her life. Sure working for her family at Cloverleigh Farms is great, but she has dreams she would love to make happen and adventures to take. She's lived hiding behind worries for too long. It has kept her from experiencing a lot in her life. She's ready for more.
And more for her would include Declan "Mack" MacAllister. The man who awakens her desires, sets her stomach a flutter and sees her more than anyone ever has. But working together and helping him care for his girls, she knows they shouldn't cross the line into anything more than friendship. But Frannie doesn't know how to turn off her body or heart when in the same room as Mack, and she doesn't know if she wants to.
Mack is just trying get by. Survive his three young daughters and the ups and downs of being a single father, while working as CFO for Cloverliegh farms. He always seems to be running here and there. Always worrying if he is doing enough, to give his daughters the life they deserve, of giving them enough of him. That he forgets what its like to want or need something for himself. He has to learn to balance his life, but where to start?
Maybe it starts with the beautiful and sweet Frannie Swayer. Who loves and cares for his girls, who throws him those beautiful smiles while working together, or the way she makes him feel more himself, more alive than he has in a very long time.
Irresistible is what makes an epic romance book! Full of loving characters, family, laughs, tears and all the beautiful moments that make you fall in love and swoon. I have SO much love Frannie and Mack! They are hands down my favorite book couple from Melanie Harlow.
Oh my Mack! Mack is my favorite hero! There is nothing to not love about this man. He's a dirty talking, protective alpha. Who loves his daughters with all that he is. Melanie Harlow has wrote one of the most sexy men around, and his name is MACK!
This couple is everything, Frannie and Mack are perfect! I loved the age gap and the bit of forbidden element of their relationship. They are passion and heat, swoon-worthy moments and sweet laughs. Mack's three girls were sweet and adorable and brought this book full circle.
I fall in love even more with Melanie Harlow's writing each book she releases. They take you on such a journey, and I'm so happy to get captivated by her words and fall between the pages of the books she writes.
