Just when they thought they could try and forge on after the painful events in the Truth About Lies, Cora and Penn find themselves wrapped up even farther in this dark world of pain, lies and secrets. Who can they turn to, who can they trust, and will they ever find the end to the revenge and guilt that has plagued their life’s for years and finally be able to reach for more.
The Truth About Us was just as wild and beautiful and full of heartache, love, clutch your chest, but your nails, and hold your breath moments as the first book. This book flowed perfectly and kept my attention glued to the pages just as much if not more than The Truth About Lies. I LOVE Cora and Penn and each one of the characters that are tied up in this crazy world. Cora and Penn, hell all of these characters are ones you can’t forget. They engrave themselves in your heart. I was left giddy, sad, curious, and so many more emotions after closing the last page on this Duet. I found myself wanting to dive right back into this world and start this crazy ride all over again.
Danger, vengeance, a sassy fighter and a man who speaks heart achingly swoon-worthy words, makes this one of the best duets I have read. I teared up, I laughed, I rooted for these characters to survive and overcome. I fell in love and gasped at the surprises and twists. Aly Martinez you wrote one extremely beautiful, raw and fresh story. Suspenseful, tear filled, romance even in the face of danger, The Truth Duet is a book duet that everyone NEEDS to experience!
