Book Review- Moonlight Sins (A de Vincent Novel #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Julia Hughes has always played it safe until she learned a very painful lesson. Now Julia’s starting over with a job in the Louisiana bayou—and a scorching encounter with a stranger, only to discover he’s Lucian de Vincent . . . her new employer. The de Vincent brothers share a massive fortune and a dark reputation. Julia cares for their troubled sister, but a menacing presence in the mansion—and the ever-present temptation of Lucian—prove dangerously distracting.

Lucian’s grandmother claimed de Vincent men fall in love once—and hard. Apparently, it’s Lucian’s turn. Julia’s compassionate care of his twin makes Lucian want to lay himself bare. But some secrets are better for Julia not to know.

The recent “suicide” of Lucian’s father is the latest in a string of deaths on the estate. Someone is eliminating the de Vincents. And the best way to get to Lucian may be through Julia. . . .

My Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Julia Hughes is trying to find a new path in life, shes ready to leave the past behind and looking forward to her fresh start. Julia has just taken a job in Louisiana as a in home nurse for the de Vincent's. She's nervous to be leaving the state and living in the home of the de Vincent's, who are shadowed in rumors and mystery. A powerful, rich family, who's secrets run deep. Within the walls of their mansion pain and lies roam, hallways are filled with memories and ghosts from the past, and danger lays in wait at every corner.

Julia is on edge as it is being here, pondering if this job and move was the right thing for her. And when you throw in the insufferable Lucian de Vincent, with his good looks, cocky attitude, Julia is feeling like maybe it would be smart for her to run back home before she gets in to deep.

The de Vincent's are a strange family, who seem to have one to many secrets, and who's family very well may be cursed. Tragedy seems to follow this family. All the lies that tie Lucian, his two brothers, and the rest of his family, may break what little thread these brothers are holding onto, together.

Julia has her hands full, doing her job, keeping to herself, dodging the aggravatingly sexy Lucian, and trying to figure out the mystery going on in this home. But Julia may be to late to solve what is happening in the de Vincent's world, when the danger is suddenly oh so close.

Lucian de Vincent is a another one to add to my list of JLA guys that I fell for in an instant. She can write a cocky jerk, with a vulnerable side and swoon-worthy one liners, like no other. A little lost, a little broken, Lucian is a great character to dive into. He was a perfect blend of all those things and thrown together with Julia, he's even better. Julia is a fantastic female lead, curvy, quite, she had insecurities, but she was such a strong and real character. Together, Julia and Lucian help one another heal, and look forward to a second chance. Super sexy and oh so fun to read.

Moonlight Sins is the perfect read for those who love, seduction, mystery and danger.
