Being back home, means being in the same place as Maddy Woodesen. The girl who has always had a piece of him. Time and distant has not changed how he has always seen her. Even when she wasn't his to see. Maddy is a big part of him believing in himself, she was always in his corner, rooting him on, challenging him. Will hopes that spark, that friendship is still there, he needs that to help him with his decisions of coming home and competing again. But there are secrets, and responsibility's he has taken on that could hurt her and scare her off. Will has to tread slowly if he wants a chance of reconnecting with Maddy, for her to believe in what has always been between them.

Maddy & Will, wow these two have a complex, heartbreaking, yet sweet and amazing love story. The pain of their pasts, the wonderful friendship, the swoon-worthy romance, make Will & Maddy's story one I am so happy to have experienced. I laughed, teared up, and fell so in love with these two.

Oh man, Ginger Scott has a way with words, they just flow off the pages and find a place in your heart. You embrace these characters, their thoughts, words, emotions, and you feel every bit of their joy, pain, regret & love. Hold My Breath was full of surprises and twists that I didn't see coming, and that makes for some great storytelling. I was captivated, I was anxious to see where the book would lead me next, and I was left wanting more and more from these amazing characters, who, big or small brought something great to this story, after every chapter.

Hold My Breath is a perfect blend of love and angst. And one of the best reads this year.
