About the book:
Lt. Grayson Masters is focused on graduating the Apache helicopter course, and the last thing he needs is his gorgeous new roommate Samantha Fitzgerald distracting him. While her smart mouth and free spirit are irresistibly irritating, he can’t deny their off-the-charts chemistry, no matter how hard he tries. Having just been expelled from college, Sam has no business digging for Grayson’s secrets while she’s hiding her own, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to tear down his walls. Each barrier she busts through drops one of her own, though, and she’s not prepared for the truth: another woman laid claim to Grayson’s heart long ago. Falling in love is something neither Grayson nor Sam can afford, and when that line is crossed and secrets are exposed, they’ll learn that sometimes it’s the answered prayers that will put you through hell.

(Possible Spoilers)
There is so much to say about this beautiful story. I could not get enough of Grayson & Sam. Of their love, words, touches, & strength. This is such an amazingly written book. So much angst, pain, and hurt. But so much love. You could feel it etched through every chapter.
Samantha Fitzgerald, humiliated and feeling broken, leaves her life behind in Colorado with the hope of starting over in Alabama. She's looking to start fresh, put the pain behind her, and get her life back on track. Surrounded by friends, and looking forward to a new school. Sam feels like things are finally falling back into place. Until she falls into the arms of the brooding, well mannered fly boy, and her new roommate, Grayson Masters.
Grayson Masters lives for routine, studying hard and keeping to himself. He has faced a lot of pain and loss in his life. Shouldering guilt, he feels its best to keep his distance, not to let people in, to see the real man behind all that pain. Being the top of his class, achieving his dream, and holding on to the past is what Grayson's life looks like day in and day out. Until his new roommate throws all his strictly laid plans out the door.
The instant Sam & Grayson meet, both their worlds are once again turned upside down. The connection, the burning passion that flows between them is one that cant be ignored. Everyone notices it. Including them, but their pasts and secrets keep them from having a shot at a relationship.
Grayson came so close to taking the spot of Josh Walker in my heart. He is a beautiful character. He deals with so much, his head, his emotions are all over the place. He's being pulled in so many directions. Rebecca Yarros did a amazing job with this wounded man. And I had no idea, the quite Greyson Masters was all alpha male! Swoon.
Sam is a amazing female lead, one that I read and immediately fell in love with. A wild, beautifully lost, and vulnerable women. You'll see her grow chapter by chapter. She didn't just become a strong women, she always was. She lost her way some, made mistakes, but fought, and learned from the past, and went after what she wanted. She was a hero for herself. And to others.
Sam & Greyson together making for such a entertaining, angst ridden, love story. Tears, romance, more tears, second chances, good friends, and lots of love.
The Flight & Glory series is one that will not be forgotten.

About the author:
Rebecca Yarros is a hopeless romantic and lover of all things chocolate, coffee, and Paleo. In addition to being a mom, military wife, and blogger, she can never choose between Young Adult and New Adult fiction, so she writes both. She's a graduate of Troy University, where she studied European history and English, but still holds out hope for an acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Her blog, The Only Girl Among Boys, has been voted the Top Military Mom Blog the last two years, and celebrates the complex issues surrounding the military life she adores.
When she's not writing, she's tying on hockey skates for her kids, or sneaking in some guitar time. She is madly in love with her army-aviator husband of eleven years, and they're currently stationed in Upstate NY with their gaggle of rambunctious kiddos and snoring English Bulldog, but she would always rather be home in Colorado.
Rebecca is represented by Jamie Bodnar Drowley of Inklings Literary.
