After all the emotions I went through reading Masterpiece, I was a little worried how Unmask would mess with my emotions. And man did it mess with them. But it was so damn good. Xavier Neal you seriously out do yourself every book I read. They just keep getting better and better. I never know what I'm going to get when I pick of one of Xavier's books, but I will tell you, I am never disappointed. More Twists, more surprises, more sexy, action, tears, and laughs. You can expect all that and more every time.
Drew McCoy, oldest of "The Triple D" is still coping with what has been happening with his family. Partying, drinking, women, and his bike is what he knows best. The last thing he excepted was to be taken by "The Devil" and forced to work with him. And even more unexpected than that, is to start to have feelings for the beautiful women stuck in this hell with him.
Melody has not been living the last four years. She's been coasting by, working for "The Devil". Doing whatever he asks. And it is slowly eating her alive. When tasked to take care of Drew McCoy, Melody never would have thought that in this hell hole, she would start to feel alive. To be actually looking forward to a future.
But with lies, danger and pain. Melody and Drew have a lot of fighting and surviving to do. If they want to share a future together.
There was so much to this book. Lots of danger and lies. Lots of sexy, with the legendary McCoy cockiness. Drew is every bit as great as Merrick. Sexy, funny, and vulnerable. He was a lot more sweet then i was expecting this bad boy to be, but i loved it. Melody is a character that you will love and dislike at times. She is broken and scared, but intelligent and sweet. And is doing her best, with this world she was forced to live in.
With lots of unanswered questions, I am impatiently waiting for the next book to get here. And I know I will fall for the next McCoy just like I have fallen for the others.
This family, this series, is one I want to read about all the time.
