Ivy Forrester is ready for the new semester to start, to put what happened with the #BuzzBoss behind her. She has a job, she's living with her friends, she has a sexy boyfriend, and she's trying to declare her major. She's done hiding, and wants to forgot. Ivy just wants to be happy and in love with Braeden. But something doesn't feel right. She feels scared on edge and she doesn't know why. Nightmares and panic attacks plague her, Ivy fears something isn't right with herself. But doesn't know what. She is trying to put on a brave face. But also worries that her and Braeden are slowly pulling apart. She feels there is something there between them. She'll have to be strong, because B is her life and she doesn't want to lose him. Or lose herself.
Braeden Walker, has Ivy, his beautiful girlfriend, he's a loyal friend to Romeo, the best BBFL to Rimmel, a tough football player, and a good son. But he feels like he's losing that, losing himself, holding this secret in. He's so angry and scared. He doesn't know what to do. He wants to protect Ivy more than anything. He doesn't want her to hurt or be sacred. If he he tells her he'll have to see her suffer, and thats the last thing he wants for her. He's afraid he'll lose Ivy. With the secret tearing him apart on the inside, he also has pressure to do good on the football field, to decided what he'll do after college, to watch after Ivy and Rimmel, while Romeo is off with the NFL, and trying handle his feelings towards his dad. He worries about all of the things that keep getting thrown his and Ivy's way.
#Poser is such a great book. Another awesome part of this series. It's a little more dark and serious than the previous ones. But it stays true to the feel of the #Hashtag series.
Braeden and Ivy are such a fun couple to read about. They share such a sweet bond. I love reading their banter. The sweet and swoon-worthy words they exchange. Its just as beautiful as Romeo & Rimmels love.
#Poser touches on a very serious issue. And i think Cambria handled it very well. You really feel Ivy's pain. The struggle she goes through when faced with what happened to her. The fear, anger, hurt. The need she feels to move on and get herself back together after it all. You also feel the pain Braeden went through keeping this secret. Their friends really come together to let Ivy know that they are there for her and they will protect her.
Braeden is still that goofy, cocky, alpha male with a big heart.
Ivy is still the fun, fashionista with such love for her friends.
But together and apart these characters are so much more. They grow alot in this book.
They experience vulnerability, love and laughs.
They also endure pain, fear and loss.
But through it all they hold onto the love that has always been there between them.
They save themselves and one another with it.
This series has such a strong group of friends, family. Braeden & Ivy are surrounded by a great group of people, Romeo, Rimmel, Drew & Trent. I #LOVE these characters & I #LOVE this series. I can't wait to see where all their stories go next.
