Cinderfella brings us a compiling story of a boy and a girl from completely different worlds, Thrown together these to learn to open up about pasts they keep buried, explore new feelings they never knew existed, and seek comfort in one another from lives that start to suffocate them.
Connor is a young man who has had to grow up faster than most. He carries the world on his shoulders. Work, School, taking care of a child, and dealing with his addictive mother, is what his days are like. Day in and day out. So when the fiery, thinks the world caters to her, Gianna, walks in to his theater class, he knows she'll be trouble. And he's not wrong.Gianna is a young women dealing with her own demons. After being kicked out of school after school, Gianna wants this one to work. With the help of Conner, who can see through the front that Gianna puts up, she starts to change, and show that shes more than the money she flaunts. What they never expected was to find more than comfort and friendship between them. This a couple who had to grow up fast in their lives. But together they grow even more.
I really liked that this whole book was in the males POV. Connor was a great character, who has the biggest heart, and even after all the hurt that he has suffered he comes out a great person. I loved his relationship with his child. Gianna and Connor may be young, but they strive to do good by each other and Connor's child.
Poor boy, rich girl. Throw in a kid, secrets, drugs, pain, love and most importantly family. And you get a beautiful story.
Once again Xavier Neal brought us a fantastic tale.
