A beautiful, gripping tale, full of tragedy, love, and finding your way back home.
Annie has come to Heron Island, from Washington DC, for a fresh start, a need for a quite, good life, for her daughter Taylor and herself. She plans to open a sophisticated little restaurant and make it successful. To make sure her daughter is safe and well taken care of after the horrible tragedy she went through.
But plans for the restaurant start to change when, Will, the tall, dark & handsome, Navy seal strolls into her life.
With that smile and those eyes, and his persistent and cocky attitude, Annie cant let her self get distracted from her goals.
Will is back home on the island after being gone ten years. He's come back to sell his grandparents inn, and then get back to his job. He is dealing with his own pain and lost, so a little break on the island should do him good, before he gets back to the seals.
But when he See's the beautiful Annie, something inside him, starts to wonder if he could stay on Heron Island, longer than he planned.
The slow build up of a relationship between Will and Annie is beautiful. Slow, sweet, gives you butterfly's.
Annie is reluctant to love again, to let a man into her and Taylor's life. She's been hurt in the past. She's also dealing with what happened in DC before she left. Her plans for the restaurant changed to a small, homey, cafe. And she needs to make it work.
Will is hesitant, to make a lasting connection, when he plans to leave. But the need to know this beautiful women is one he cant ignore. All while dealing with fixing up the Inn and finding the right buyer, someone to keep the feeling of family and comforter that it holds, intact.
The pull between Will & Annie is to strong to resit.
And the outcome of them finally giving in, and admitting what their hearts want, is perfect.
I loved the feeling of the small town, the friendships and traditions built in a setting that i feel only small island towns can.
Wind Chime Cafe, is a sweet love story, laced with heart, lost, pain, old and new friends and family.
