When we first met Patrick he's was just Derek's partner in there own PI bussiness. But in One To Keep you get to see a whole new side to him. And what he was going trough. While Patrick & Derek were in Arizona, Patrick met Elaine. Melissa's best friend. And he was hooked. He had a shitty year, what with his fiancé cheating on him, and then having a quick fling that turns into friendship, the only thing good to come out of everything lately. To a heated moment in the office with a crazy chick. Someone is ex hired to mess with him. So when he finally meets Elaine, she's someone he can see himself having a real future with. It might all be over though, when is past comes back to mess with his future. I really liked Patrick, he was a tall, hunky, man who has had some bad luck, but still decides to live his life to the fullest. He's love for Elaine is genuine and heartfelt. And when these two getting together after being apart for a few weeks. Sparks fly. There moments together are wild & sexy. You can feel the chemistry just pore off them. With Patricks past being flung left and right at them, they still mange to find a way to work through it, and show each other there in it for the long haul. Very sweet, sexy book. Quick read, with a fast love, and friendships in unlikely ways.
