Book Review- The Summer Games: Settling The Score by R.S. Grey

About the book:

From the USA TODAY Bestselling author of Scoring Wilder, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

As an Olympic rookie, Andie Foster has spent far more time in her cleats than between the sheets. For 21 years, her Friday nights have consisted of blocking shots rather than taking them. But now that she's landed in Rio, she's ready to see for herself if the rumors about the Olympic Village are true:

The athletes are all sex-crazed maniacs...  The committee passes out condoms like candy...  The games continue long after the medals have been handed out...  As Andie walks the line between rumor and reality, she's forced into the path of Frederick Archibald, a decorated Olympic swimmer and owner of a sexy British accent--too bad he's unavailable in a way that "it's complicated" doesn't even begin to explain.

In other words: off limits.

It doesn't matter that he has abs that could bring peace to the Middle East and a smile that makes even the Queen blush; Andie fully intends on keeping her focus on the soccer field. But the Village is small. Suffocating. Everywhere Andie goes, Freddie happens to be there--shirtless, wet from the pool, and determined to show her a whole new meaning of the phrase "international affairs".

Andie Foster has come to Rio to compete in the summer games, she couldn't be happier to be there. She's ready to play soccer, win gold, and have fun and embrace all the Olympic village has to offer. She's worked her whole life, played hard, trained hard, to make it to where she is now. Competing at her first Olympics. After all the training she puts in everyday, she ready to let loose and have some fun. Parties with hot athletes is just what she's looking for. But she could of never prepared for meeting Frederick Archibald. Tall, sexy, and British, Freddie. He's about to royally complicate her time in Rio, but she not sure that is such a bad thing. Andie, as much as she tries to distant herself from him, just can't deny the connection growing between them. She'll have to keep her head in the game and not on Freddie in his swimwear, tempting her.

Frederick "Freddie" Archibald, is back at the summer games for his third Olympics. He's ready to win gold again. He just wants to swim and compete. No drama. No family responsibilities waiting for him back at home. But that's not so easy when he lays eyes on the beautiful blonde, american soccer player. Though his attraction to Andie, may complicates things, Its a easy choice for him, he wants Andie, he wants to get to know this fun and sassy women. But others in his life with stop at nothing to make sure that doesn't happen. Freddie will have to fight to win, not just at the summer games, but at taking control of his life and his happiness.

The summer games was such a fun and funny book to read. A real romantic comedy. Loaded with hot athletes, drama, laughs, friendship, and love. Andie is fun and spunky. She's tough and fights for what she wants, she plays hard and is a real, down to earth person. She's was a refreshing lead to read about, being in her head and reading her inner dialogue, is the best. Freddie is super sexy, I couldn't get enough reading about him and his sexy accent. He's a yummy book boyfriend. Sweet, cocky, and um, hello a British accent. ;)

Together these two make for one steamy, romantic, and funny read. I also loved that we got Kinsley, Liam, Becca & Penn again. And I loved the friendship between not only Andie, Kinsley and Becca, but Andie & Georgie . She was a really fun character.

The summer games is the perfect summer read!

About the author:
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
